We loved it all. The grounds at Las Palomas are, far and away, the nicest of the other major resorts I have stayed at in the area. We were happy with the unit as well. There were a few very small things we had to work through, for example the way the shower turns on was very confusing and a few little technical glitches, but we really, really loved our time here. First time in Rocky Point and decided on Las Palomas because we have kids. The resort is very nice - very big. Being winter, the heated pools were awesome. The family spa is in Phase II - so we didn’t really use the pools in Phase I but only cuz our eldest gets cold easily and there wasn’t a hot tub for him on that side. In summer, Phase I would be better cuz it has a waterslide.
The beach is awesome for kids too - there is a rocky break out aways so hardly any waves but mostly sandy shoreline. The space was great, beds were comfy, and host was super responsive and answered all our questions. Kitchen seemed to have supplies, we mostly ate out. Check-in was offsite but on the way in and super easy. Overall it was a great first experience. Gwynne
